Re: [rosacea] Need advice for rosacea in Houston, photofacial

Always good questions to ask:

1) How long have they been treating rosacea? (you want somone with
experience)
2) Do they use the factory presets in their treatments, or do they have
someone with enough training and experience to assess the patient and tailor
the settings? (you absolutely want someone who takes the latter approach)
3) Is their equipment designed for vascular work, or something else like
hair removal and they just have a filter on it? (you absolutely want the
first)

The second place is very correct on the advice about the sun. Not sure on
the anti-b's... though I have heard that too. Good thing to do is toss the
name of the place into Google or other favorite search engine, and see what
comes up in the newgroups, i.e. complaints or complements on the place.
Note that even good places/doctors may still have complaints against them,
but what you are looking for is a preponderance of complaints or horror
stories. Stay away in that case, needless to say.

Subject: [rosacea] Need advice for rosacea in Houston, photofacial

Hello, I have rosecea but only have the broken cappileries and
redness. I have been looking at prices and calling doctors but am
confused about prices and procedures. For instance one place I found
Viera Visage http://www.beauty-surgeon.com/ only charges 150.00 per
session. Another place charges 450.00 but offers a 50% off coupon for
the first treatment. http://www.avantemedispa.com/ this company also
used sompthing called HARMONY lazer system which they say is the most
up to date. The cheaper place does not use the harmony system. I have
no idea if one is better then the other. THe more expensive place also
told me not to take antibiotics one week before treatment as well as
some other advice regarding staying out of the sun. The cheaper place
did not mention anything about antibiotics (I dont take any. Any
advice would be helpful. Does anyone have a recommendation for a
Houston photo facial placethat treats rosecea. Thanks in advance
