Re: [rosacea] Re: tea tree and cats

Hey guys, for the safety of our precious animals, personally I think we should seriously buy the special shampoo from the pet store that is specifically for them, and I agree with susie, especially due to the fact these are harsh chemicals for an animal, imagine there smell is 10 times stronger than ours, and they do lick themselves and this can obviously pose serious problems for our animals, and would not take a chance on this. The best thing to do is to stick with the special shampoos at the pet store specifically for them, and check to ensure the amount of bathing to clean your animal (how often). The last thing we want to do is pose problems to our babys. tamara

susie,

sea buckthorn oil is considered a carrier oil, while tea tree oil is
an essential oil - a pure volatile oil extracted from aromatic plant
products normally extracted by distillation.

i'm unsure where i first read it, but a google search will give you
lots of info on cats and essential oils, and how they're a bad match.

but i know this from experience. cleo, one of my cats, had a nasty
flea infestation, so i dabbed some essential oils on my hands and
patted her down, knowing that fleas hate certain oils. she almost
immediately began sneezing, foaming at the mouth, and staggering in
circles. i had to immediately bathe her. believe me, i won't make this
mistake again!
