So to answer your question, yes, but acidophilus is really just one of
several bacteria in the genus Lactobacillus.

You can usually find a broad spectrum probiotic supplement that
contains several members of the genuses (or is that geni?)
lactobacillus, bifidobacterium, and yeasts at your local healthfood
store. They are usually refrigerated to ensure the probiotics remain
live.
