[rosacea] Re: maltodextrin

Interesting - I never realized that! I have a hard time with packaged
foods containing malted this or that, and/or maltodextrin. But, then
again, those foods tend to have a lot of ingredients in them so I
cannot be absolutely sure.

I wonder if this part of the maltodextrin process is the problem for
me:

"The starch is cooked, and then acid and/or enzymes are used to break
the starch into smaller polymers (a process similar to that used by
the body to digest carbohydrate)."

Either way, simpler, fewer ingredients, and less processing is always
better for me.

I should learn more about malt vs maltodextrin. Now what could be more
exciting? ;) ;) I may be avoiding it when I don't need to, though.
