hey guys, well ive always had cold hands and my feet are not as bad. My hands get super cold though, of course never blue or anything serious, but boy sometimes I am afraid to touch someone, because they get so cold its annoying. tamara

syndrome as well. I can¹t remember the technicalities. I have it and my
hands are always cold in the winter and I cannot remember a time when I
didn¹t wear socks to bed whether it is summer or winter. As far as I know,
Reynaud¹s is nothing to worry about. It¹s just another missing or added link
in our systems.

My face is always worse in the winter but I am lucky in that I can use the
Linda Sy oil after washing and I can tolerate a few good moisturisers. I
have just discovered the Rosacea Care Calming/Strontium spray. I¹ve used it
the last couple of nights when I¹ve had the fire going. It calms it right
down. It IS expensive and may not work for you but I thought I¹d mention it.

I feel for you. I know what it¹s like. Have you tried or can you tolerate
any of the barrier creams? A few years ago I used a teeny bit of vaseline
swiped over the tops of my cheeks after my moisturiser at night and it
helped. If you try it, make sure you put it on while there¹s still moisture
in your skin from washing, etc.

HTH...

Subject: [rosacea] Winter dehydration

As I head into my 3rd winter of full-blown rosacea, I am realizing
that my skin is much worse in the wintertime - the dryness in the
air makes it taut and hot and red and miserable. No matter how much
water I drink my entire body feels parched (but only in winter). I
am taking doxy which really helps keep the P&Ps under control, but
the dryness is unreal. I guess my spring/summer/autumn routine just
doesn't cut it.

Does anyone else get worse in the winter, and what remedies have you
found to help? I'd love any tips on how to feel more hydrated!!!

... and just to vent a little, I don't understand how my hands,
feet, and entire body can feel so cold ALL the time in winter (a
constant subtle shiver) while my face is on FIRE, oh, except for my
nose which is like an ice cube! My cheeks must be 30 or 40 degrees
warmer than my hands. (LOL, I suppose I should feel lucky to not
need gloves to warm my hands - I just use my face) And any extra
layers of clothes heat my face up before my body... How does that
happen??? If I could just distribute my face heat equally to the
rest of my body... sigh....
