This is very helpful, even though just a few questions were answered.
Coming from a Dr. who knows from practice and study what is working, we
can probably put a great deal of stock in what is being stated.
He mentioned that LED home devices are usually not sufficiently
powerful enough, yet the duration of office treatments spans from
seconds (yellow) to several minutes (REd/infrared)
if lower power exposures need only more time to get the required energy
delivered. Also if yellow LEDs require only seconds, does that mean
they are effectively IPL treatments?
In any event, I am planning to build a Red/Infrared device of my own,
which according to the doctor might be effective for mild rosacea and
seb-dermatitis (which according to my dermatologist, I have). I will
consider building a yellow unit later after gathering more information.
