HI Artist,
Well I did stop everything. It was like magic! I wouldn't say I'd be turning any cartwheels or anything, but the flushing left, the redness decreased, and the hotness is almost gone. What's left is dryness and a sting and itch. But it is doable. I wonder if my trying to wean down on the doxy set this off. I wondered about a rebound effect of going off the medicine. With the RED LED light it was determined from the Dr. Goldberg articles that there is a tiny warning about the light and photosensitizing drugs. Dr. Goldberg put it this way......we are careful when someone is taking a photosensitizing drug.......not an exact quote. That is one of the reasons I was weaning off the doxy, so I could use the lamp without worrying about it. The other reason was that my eye doctor said there were studies linking long term use of the doxy (especially at the high levels) with breast cancer. I can't remember what my reflux medicine is because it is generic. It's a common
one though. I will ask about the Atenolol tough because it does seem to be a problem for me now. I NEVER EVER flushed or blushed to any circumstances but I do notice now that if I am getting anxious in a converstation or even concentrating on information then I feel heat coming to my face and head. Weird since this was not a common occurance for me.........where the heck did it come from?? Do you think it is okay to mist my face from time to time during the day with the Evian Spray can or just bottled water in a mister (I keep one in the fridge, but right now it has a few drops of the jojob, Vit. E/rosehip oil and Aloe in it so I'll have to clean it out and refill it)? I know most seem to find it helpful and I do too, but I do remember that some said it ended up starting a viscious cycle of more flushing. Anyway, thank you so much.
Take care,
Elena
