So sorry for the wretched time you're going through, but great to hear that
your flushing has calmed down at the moment. It's good that you are at least
able to take some comfort from the kind thoughts coming to you from the
group as a whole.

While on that topic, our collective compassion also goes out to ALL members
having a hard time, especially if they're heading into the Northern winter.

Thank you for your suggestions. Minocycline sounds as if it might be in the
doxy family? Maybe it is one I can take. I'm allergic to penicillin so I am
limited. Boy, you hit the nail on the head when you said "fear grips our
mind". That's pretty much what I am fighting because of the memory of what
it was like for me two years ago. Interestingly, last night I stopped
everything. I just washed my face with the Eucerine Redness Relief and let
it air dry with nothing on. No oils, no Noritate, no moisturizer.........not
even the most gentle Hydrolatum that my son's doctor recommmended for his
exczema. And then I waited nervously thinking that the dryness would send me
screaming into the night. And a funny thing happened. Yes, my skin did feel
very tight and dry, but all flushing feelings stopped (even in my scalp) and
the burning/tingling went down to a doable amount. I haven't taken my
morning shower yet but I do plan to repeat the process of t Relief wash and
then nothing and see how I get through today. And the increased doxycycline
and the new eye drops for the next three days and then I'll take as much
information as I can to my derm on Tuesday.
